Baptism Aniversary
Today 19 years ago I was baptized.
It was a beautiful spring day, just like today.
It was a Saturday, a Sabbath, which made it that much more special.
I was so ready, as I had studied and prayed about it for 3 1/2 years prior.
It was to be held at one of my favorite people of all, Mr.Harry Gerstner's house, who has now passed on and is awaiting the time when we will once again drink to the kindgom only then the kingdom will be a reality, and not a coming event. Mr. Charles May was the one to perform the ceremony, and Mrs. Kathy Hunter was also to be baptized as well.
It was so very beautiful, Effie had the everything set up so beautiful.
I felt no different physically other than now being wet, actually though I felt new born, much like a baby must feel, wet, shaking, new to the world.
For I knew a new life had just began.
I had put my old life behind me,and now I am starting a new one in Christ.
It was one of the happiest days of my life.
Everything changed, I changed.
I was able to attend my first Passover services that year, and my first foot washing service, and attend the feasts.
That meant more to me than anything I have ever known. The beauty of it all, the significance, the memorial. That was when I signed in spiritual blood my contract to give my life to God, to follow Him, to turn my life over to him, this was an eternal agreement we made that first Passover.
I cant tell you how much these Holy Days and Festivals meant to me then and have since I have learned of them.
Every year I celebrate my baptism as well as the Holy Days and Festivals.
They are more precious to me every year.
